Gen 1 inverter timed charge slots.

Post by RayB »

I still haven't changed to Octopus Cosy from Go yet. We've had a great Indian summer in the UK. When I sign up for the paid version, am I tied to the Cost time slots or can I fine tune them? I'd like to test the slots using short durations first.

Also, if the timed slots become corrupted whilst I'm away from home, can I still reset them using the Givenergy app?

With the scheduler, you can set up as many timed charge intervals as you want. Either keep switching the start and end times, or set the timed charge for 00:00 to 23:59 and use the scheduler to toggle timed charge on or off when required.

When you go away, I would turn off the heat pump (or turn it to very low to avoid freezing). Then set your inverter just to use the one charge slot (e.g. overnight) so that whatever you have left on (freezer, router, etc.) runs at cheap rate.
