How this forum will work

Post by RubikCube »

This is a phpBB forum and I haven't used this software before, so bear with me.

The forum can be viewed by Guests (without registering or logging in) so anything posted is PUBLIC.

When you first register you will become a "newly registered user" and any posts will be moderated before they appear.
Once I upgrade you to a regular "registered user" you will be able to post without moderation.

Attachments up to a size of 256kb are allowed, but storage space is limited and expensive. Please don't use attachments unnecessarily. The policy regarding attachments may be subject to review.

Anything else I will figure out later.

RubikCube Thanks for this. Hopefully it will be as useful and successful as the GE forum.

Yes, thanks from me too, much appreciated.
It is of course crucial that we have a reliable home, one that everyone affected knows of and can access if they wish to.
My one concern is that some 'rival' forums will spring up, some crap (Facebook), others equally as useful (Renewable Energy Hub), so I am pondering how we can ensure that the knowledge that we collectedly have can be fully shared.
Hope this makes sense.

Thank you all for your supportive comments. We are all in this together, with lots of great people doing what they can.

Very grateful to Facebook for keeping all the crap off forums like this one and renewable heating hub.

I am hoping this forum can mainly run itself with a fairly hands off approach.

A thank you from me too.
A quick way of acknowledging or like button for posts would be a nice option.
